To clone a Virtual Machine in VirtualBox, first go to:

/home/[username]/.VirtualBox/VDI

or newer versions:
/home/[username]/.VirtualBox/HardDisk

in the console, use command:
(don't forgot to change the virtual disk name to your existing virtual disk name.)
